Our Story
Ripley are Sarah Dyer & Kenny Leckie, a songwriting duo based in Glasgow, Scotland. Pairing their love of indie rock, visceral post-hardcore and glossy, modern pop music, Ripley is self-proclaimed emo-pop for adults.
Kenny & Sarah knew each other from Glasgow’s early 2010’s music scene, and decided to join writing forces as the pandemic started in early 2020. Ripley is a labour of love, combining Sarah’s indie-pop sensibilities with Kenny’s angsty, heavier style to produce the perfect yin-yang balance for Ripley’s alt-pop sound.
Ripley's Releases
Their first record, ‘Chapter One’ was released on 11th November 2022. It was preceded by two singles, ‘Here’ on 9th September 2022 & ‘War’ on 14th October before they made their live headline debut on 2nd December 2022 at Glasgow Audio. ‘War’ received airplay on BBC Introducing Scotland, Amazing Radio in the UK and the US. ‘Chapter One’ was produced & mixed by Kenny Leckie in Glasgow & Tenerife and mastered by Katie Tavini (We Are Scientists, Arlo Parks) at Weird Jungle, Brighton.
Their second record, ‘Chapter Two’, is due for release in August 2023, with singles released each month from April until August. It was also produced & mixed by Kenny in Glasgow, and mastered by Katie Tavini. ‘Always There’, will be the first single released from Chapter Two on April 7th 2023. It was also produced & mixed by Kenny in Glasgow, and mastered by Katie Tavini.
